March 19, 2023, Derech Menachem Begin 121, Tel Aviv, Israel
The local Israeli PostgreSQL community organized the non-profit PostgreSQL Development Bootcamp.
This event is part of the efforts to grow the PostgreSQL community by increasing awareness and providing the appropriate resources to further PostgreSQL adoption.
The course was about PostgreSQL internals and a building the basic extension from scratch master class:
Bruce Momjian (Bruce Momjian, Co-founder and Core Team member of the PostgreSQL Global Development Group, EDB) talked about “PostgreSQL Internals Through Pictures” and ” PostgreSQL Community and Development Process”.
Anastasia Lubennikova (PostgreSQL Major Contributor, Neon, Inc.) kindly agreed to give a lecture “Deep Dive into PostgreSQL Codebase for Beginner Contributor” and lead a master class “How to Write PostgreSQL Extensions”.
Bruce and Anastasia, thank you so much for what you do for PostgreSQL beginner contributors! Special thanks for the event organization to Michael Goldberg a regional contact of PostgreSQL Community in Israel.
The event was attended by more than 30 participants, some of whom are students. Some of them flew in from other countries to participate in this important event. PostgreSQL Israeli Community is proud to organize this globally unique event and hope to spread this initiative to other countries.
See you soon!
