In May 2026, Awide Labs acquired the intellectual property license and manufacturing rights for the Pliops technology portfolio — an important milestone in our mission to build faster and more efficient infrastructure for AI and data-intensive workloads.
Awide Labs has deep roots in PostgreSQL and the technologies surrounding its ecosystem. The addition of Pliops’ hardware-accelerated data-processing and key-value technology will significantly strengthen this area. It will enable Awide to develop integrated hardware and software appliances for PostgreSQL and apply KV acceleration to a wide range of database workloads, including storage optimization, temporary data processing, caching, indexing, and analytical operations.
Several highly skilled specialists from the former Pliops engineering team have joined Awide Labs, ensuring continuity in product development, manufacturing, technical support, and existing customer deployments.
At the same time, Awide will continue to actively expand its AI portfolio. A particular focus will be KV-cache offloading for large language model inference, helping customers increase accelerator utilization, support longer contexts and larger workloads, and scale AI infrastructure more cost-effectively.
By combining proven Pliops technology with Awide’s PostgreSQL expertise, enterprise products, and AI roadmap, we are creating a new generation of high-performance, energy-efficient data infrastructure.
