The Integration service was created to notify users about any problems that have been discovered.
On the Telegram page, there will be a list of telegram channels for sending messages, as well as functionality for creating (number 1 on figure above) and managing (number 2 on figure above) channels. Let’s go through the functionality according to the numbering in the following figure.
Add New Channel
The “Add new channel” button opens a window for adding a new channel. How to get telegram group id and create a bot token please find here. To add a new channel, follow the steps given below:
- Enter the telegram group id in the given field (indicated by the number 1 in the figure above).
- Enter the telegram bot token in the given field (indicated by the number 2 in the figure above). The bot must already be in the group with the permission to write.
- Click the “Add new channel” button to add the channel (indicated by the number 3 in the figure above).
Suspend channel
The “Suspend” option deactivates the selected channel.
- Fill in the field with the word suspend. (indicated by the number 1 in the figure above)
- Click the “Suspend” button to deactivate the channel. (indicated by the number 2 in the figure above)
Activate Channel
The “Activate” option activates the selected channel
- Fill in the field with the word activate. (indicated by the number 1 in the figure above)
- Click the “Activate” button to activate the channel. (indicated by the number 2 in the figure above)
Delete Channel
The “Delete” option deletes the selected channel
- Fill in the field with the word delete.
- Click the “DELETE CHANNEL” button to delete the channel.
Telegram Channel Management
The channel’s personal telegram page provides some functionality for managing the channel. Let’s go through these options according to the numbering presented in the figure below:
- This field indicated by the number 1 in the figure above makes it possible to change the group ID.
- Menu indicated by the number 2 in the figure above gives you the four following options:
- The “Suspend/Activate” option duplicates the functionality from the telegram page.
- Set Token
- Test Connection
Set Token
The “Set Token” option allows you to change the telegram bot token.
- Fill in the field with a new token – indicated by the number 1 in the figure above
- Click the “Set Token” button indicated by the number 2 in the figure above to finalize the changes.
Test Connection
The “Test Connection” option sends a test message to the telegram channel. If Successful – message box raised
Add Rule
The “Add Rule” option adds a new rule/criteria by which to send messages.
- Select a workspace (indicated by the number 1 in the figure above)
- Select alert severity level – PROBLEM or WARNING (indicated by the number 2 in the figure above)
- Click the “ADD RULE” button (indicated by the number 3 in the figure above). After adding the rule, you will receive the appropriate notifications in the selected telegram channel.
Remove the Rule
The “Remove Rule” button allows you to remove a rule/criteria from the channel.
- Fill in the field with the word remove (indicated by the number 1 in the figure above)
- Click the “Remove rule” button to remove a rule (indicated by the number 2 in the figure above)
